York College prepares its graduates for productive and purposeful lives. As a diverse community of educators and learners, we provide a high-quality, private education that emphasizes personal development, close faculty/student mentoring relationships, and real-world experiences.
“We’re not preparing them for that first job – we’re preparing them for a lifetime of meaningful careers,” notes Dr. Pamela Gunter-Smith, President of York College.
When the Small family established the York Collegiate Institute in 1873, they made the ultimate planned gift. The Institute would later become the York County Academy in 1921, the York Junior College in 1941, and in 1969 it would become York College of Pennsylvania becoming York County’s first four-year college.
York College of Pennsylvania is grateful for the support provided by donors who have made planned gifts to our Institution. Through their generosity, these individuals have demonstrated their commitment to the future of York College through gifts that have created meaningful legacies. Here are some of their stories.
